Delighted that you have a link to my site - many thanks! My site also features a section on the BBC's local South East television news, including a picture pinched from your site - sorry! (but it was too good not to)
Tuesday November 27 2001 - 15:04:46 Name: James Spiring Where are you from?: Hull Comments: Re: Eighties Zone: Bananaman - this was based on characters from the now defunct Nutty comic, published by DC Thomson. In 1985, when Nutty closed, Bananaman moved to The Dandy, and still appears today. Website at www.dandy.com Not much to it though. DC Thomson's site is at www.dcthomson.co.uk but again, not much info - im fact, it's so out of date, there's no link to The Dandy's site! (It hasn't always had one)
Saturday October 27 2001 - 19:45:06 Name: Scot Fergie Where are you from?: Edinburgh Comments: Brilliant site - especially loved the wallpapers - any chance of some more?

Tuesday June 26 2001 - 10:46:09 Name: Gary Where are you from?: London UK Comments: Enjoyed your 'how to watch widescreen' feature muchly. Maybe it's about time to start petitioning broadcasters to pillarbox all material generated in 4:3. I have seen much archive footage which has been cropped, or even worse distorted to fit the screen! (Usually war footage for some reason) Unless something is done soon the next generation will think that every one in 'the olden days' was endomorphic.
Wednesday June 06 2001 - 00:38:28 Name: Steven Capsuto Where are you from?: Philadelphia, USA Comments: What an absolutely delightful web site! I especially enjoy the "Telly Years" section. Keep up the good work!
Sunday June 03 2001 - 02:44:52 Name: David Sheppard Where are you from?: Ruscombe, Berkshire Comments: Excellent archive of all things BBC. My main interest lies in radio 2, so I was delighted to find the 1990/3 jingles here. If anybody knows where I could find copies of other radio 2 jingles (from any era), I would be pleased to hear from them...
Saturday May 19 2001 - 23:50:52 Name: E. Douglas Jensen Where are you from?: Boston, MA, USA Comments: I'm looking for the BBC radio World News theme tune (a march fragment it sounded like) that sounded like it was recorded off a shortwave radio acorss the seas.
Saturday May 12 2001 - 10:44:10 Name: Mark Blackman Where are you from?: Huyton, Merseyside Comments: Brilliant website, especially the radio jingles page, brought a lot of memories back having to go to Comet or someplace to replace our family radio so it could pick up radio 2 FM! Could we have more like this please? Thanks, Mark Blackman

Thursday February 08 2001 - 17:56:03 Name: ~~steve~~ Where are you from?: UK Comments: Love the TV & Radio bits site, particularly the under-valued DJs page. Couldn't agree more with the Martin Kelner & Phil Kennedy entries! I spent many a happy evening in the late 80's/early 90's switching between the two on BBC North and The Superstation! May I venture a couple more suggestions for the files though. (Mainly in the hope of trying to find out where they both are nowadays)Firstly, Keri Jones, late 80's Saturdayurday Afternoon presenter on North Yorkshires Viking FM. Also Jonathon Miles, presenter of the Hallam FM breakfast show for far too short a time back in the early 90s. Anyone got any idea where they are now??? Thanks again for the memories! ~~steve~~
Tuesday January 23 2001 - 18:43:17 Name: Howard Stableford Where are you from?: 1980's TV according to you Comments: The last series of Jigsaw was by far the best! Wednesday January 17 2001 - 17:13:51 Name: Nick Girdler Where are you from?: Southampton Comments: I'd forgotten all about 'sucking off the stereo' it was great to hear it again. The researcher on my programme (bit of a wizz with the web) was looking for someone else called me!! for a programme we're about to do. I think the idea is to clone me. Thanks for the nice comments and remember 'I do anything for Money' Nick
Tuesday January 16 2001 - 13:23:14 Name: Jeff Vagg Where are you from?: Beckenham Comments: Apart from the excellent witty & funny spoofs, do like the old radio times details. An appeal now: Does anyone who collects radio 1 trivia have the picture of Tom Browne from the Evening Standard (& possibly other papers) in mid 1972 when it was announced he was taking over from Alan Freeman? If so I'd love a scan!

Watch my web-site late June early July for further details, and thanks again for the mention. Should you ever become controller of Radio Two, keep me in mind.... RW replies: Thanks Martin!
