Comments: I really love this website, i found it because i was searching for eurovision stuff, but i LOVE the BBC, and I do have to say, I quite like the Dancing and 2 idents, but I'm only 15 and it's only the second set I can remember!! I've known about this website for ages and I usually have a look every couple of months to watch some of the clips n it and stuff like that, it realy is cool! Keep up the good work, I think you should include maybe a section for ITV, Channel Four and Five but only like one page or so. Just a thought, keep up the fantastic work, love from Adam Xx

Comments: When you said about south beds being lumped in with London, you were wrong, itgets put with look east, from Norwich and Cambridge.

RW replies: BBC London News sometimes covers stories from the Luton area, so some people in that area must be receiving it!

Comments: Well, I've just seen this year's BBC Xmas idents and I'm absolutely furios! For the first time ever, BBC1 has recycled last years ident, the one with the snowflake children. It was bad enough last year having that grusome todler's face appearing on my TV set and I've got to put up with it again this year!! And I wonder why this has happened? I'll put it plainly in two words - LORRAINE HEGGESEY!!! At least BBC2 has got up of its backside to make a new ident, a figure 2 trapped in ice. Just a shame for a third year running, viewers have to watch Xmas 2001's ident all over again aswell, the one with the 2 holding a tree. On top of that, we have to see last year's 2 ident aswell, the one when the 2 makes a snowman. Absolutely ridiculous! I'm starting to ask myself which year it is, 2001, 2002 or 2003?

RW replies: 2003

Comments: So, 12 days 'till Xmas day and I must say I can't wait to see this year's BBC1 ident. But I'll tell you what, if that stupid Lorraine Whatshername recycles last years Xmas ident, the one with the kids dressed in snowflakes dancing on the snow, I will go absolutely ballistic!! What has happened to BBC1's annual tradition of wonderful xmas idents? Every year I used to look forward to see the new xmas ident on BBC1 (and BBC2 before its idents turned crap), but there's not much tradition if this bloody woman never alters the chuffing ident. Mind you , I think the whole BBC1 "dancing theme" is a load of crap anyway. The "Bollywood" ident is the one which really gets on my nerves! At first I could put up with it, but now, it's just about doing my head in. I think i'll explode if I see those Indians doing that most ridiculous dance again.

Name: Steve Wickens

Comments: ADAM!!! A man who thinks the same as me! Those stupid dancer idents should go. Lorraine Heggessey is obviously a liberal supporting minority groups cos she sure don't give a damn about the majority who think that her
dancer idents are crap. If BBC1 becomes anymore PC it'll be renamed "The Land
full of Ethnic Minority's who get Preference over the Majority Broadcasting For the
Enriched Communities who live in a place formally known as Great Britain but now
is known as British Mediocrity Channel One" Stick that up your dancers jacksy's Miss Heggessey!

RW replies: Ooooh missus!

Comments: I love these nostalgic sites. Upon glimpsing your stills from BBC Christmas past, it struck me that it is December 3 and all channels are still unfestive. If I see the Freeview ad again I'll scream. Can't they replace those irritating, irrelevant monkies with a jolly Christmas trailor? After all, 3 Weeks today is Christmas Eve! A wonderful site. Full of happy memories. Does anyone know what BBC1's Xmas ident is going to be this year?

RW replies: BBC Christmas presentation isn't what it once was, even just a few years ago

Comments: Heaven in a television studio as a devoted Eurovision addict any reason for another competition fills me with joy. One day these contestants may again represent their countries in the adult Eurovision Song Contest. I am biased as to hoping that the United Kingdom entry wins but i must say that i have enjoyed the Croatian entry. Can't wait to see who wins. Come on UK we are all behind you.

Comments: Hi there Could you tell me why Iceland's Paul Oscar had an outrageous performance? Why is it good that it was shown after the watershed? Did he get naked or summat? Thanks Chad PS Great site by the way!

RW replies: To put it gently, Paul was sat on a sofa surrounded by several scantily-clad l
adies - not exactly comfortable family viewing...

Comments: Ok,lets get one thing straight,n people, try to agree with me on this. What has happened to BBC 1? Does that stupid BBC 1 controller lorraine hegessey think that replacing a brilliant ident with a bunch of stupid dancers will attract viewers? Of course not.Bring back the globe!!!!Who agrees with me on this? BBC 2 is not as good as it used to be,but at least they've kept the famous '2'.Are you reading this BBC1,because your new idents really suck.Get someone in who can restore BBC1 to it's traditional 'Globe' state.

RW replies: I suspect we'll be stuck with the dancers for as long as Lorraine Heggessey remains in charge

Comments: What an amazing trip down memory lane. Great stuff! I also think the BBC1 dancer idents are naff-everyone does except Ms Heggessy. It's about time something was done to get rid of them. Rather than bringing back the balloon though, I think a fresh, modern rejuvenated version of the globe should be devised. Also bring back the Christmas Preview Trails at the start of December and not show the Christmas ident for days on end. I used to look forward to seeing the Christmas trails during the whole of December. Nowadays it doesn't seem so magical! Also radio Times Xmas covers have become samey too! Bring back the good old days! But this really is a fantastic site. Well Done! (Show this to Lorraine Heggessy-will she take any notice)
