What did you expect - BBC radio Yorkshire and Lincolnshire? Bit of a mouthful innit? and radio Hull or radio Grimsby is biased! Where'd you get the logos from? Come to Hull, the BBC radio Humberside offices here still have their old logo up (but for how long, with the new regional HQ almost ready to open?)
Sunday July 27 2003 - 14:54:56 Name: mark_f Where are you from?: Kenilworth, Warks (now in Australia) Comments: I found this great site looking for info about the 1986 Domesday Project (I'm hoping to get that restored asap). Wow, these 1980s pages are excellent! I remember the Adventure Game and its scary "vortex" game :) And the Box of Delights is one of my good memories; watching that last episode on Xmas eve 1984... Sure was a good time to be a youngster (watching TV and playing computer games) :D
RW replies: There is no programme guaranteed to put you in a festive mood more than The Box of Delights!
Thursday July 24 2003 - 23:36:23 Name: Rob Where are you from?: Leeds Comments: Hi! Wanted to say how much I love this site. came across it ages ago but forgot the link. Spent hours and hours going down memory lane (the 80s zone was right down my alley, having been a child of the eighties) reading the content before. Am delighted that I managed to find it again and have made sure I don't forget the address again! Keep up the good work!
Monday July 07 2003 - 16:54:50 Name: Zlatko Where are you from?: Macedonia Comments: Tose Proevski is going to represent Macedonia on Eurosong 2004 in Turkey!
Thursday July 03 2003 - 21:57:32 Name: Andy Where are you from?: Halifax, now in Bookham, Surrey Comments: What a fascinating site. I found this looking for the cover of a Rod Hull & Emu "radio Times", 17-23 May, '73, I think. I have a collection of radio Times (and TV Times) from 1966 and am exploring selling some "multiple" issues. Unfortunately, at present they are in Hfx., so your site is interesting and brings back memories! Regards, Andy.
Thursday June 26 2003 - 02:24:56 Name: Simon Smith Where are you from?: Brighton, East Sussex Comments: Very helpful, thorough and informative site, enabling one to trace the development of British broadcasting over the decades - I'm extremely impressed. Just one question - can you recommend an authoritative source on the development and introduction of colour television in the UK in the 1950's and 1960's? RW replies: Try British TV History for chronology and information on the launch of colour television

Sunday June 08 2003 - 19:03:28 Name: Joe Havard Where are you from?: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Comments: On Monday, November 19 2001, I almost fainted when I got up and saw that a decades worth of clever and magnificent idents had been axed. I told myself it will be fine, hoping there would be another selection of Idents. However, it was shocking when I realised they all had the same colour backcround - yellow. However it has taken me over 18 months to make friends with the new idents . I thought last night that as long as the clever "2" shape with smooth curves and sharp egdes was still here, then BBC2 would still look clever. This "2" shape has been displayed in a number of ways since 1991 and its character is still asociated with this channel which happens to be 40 next year!

Saturday February 01 2003 - 03:54:48 Name: Dave Where are you from?: UK Comments: Great site - especially the 80's TV Bits. Can you remember an 80's kids gameshow for me? It may have been hosted by Debbie Greenwood. The theme tune was definitely Airborne from Mike Oldfields "Platinum" album. The backdrop was two robotic looking faces facing each other. What was it called and are there any web sites about it?
RW replies: It was called First Class - details now added to The Eighties Zone
