Saturday December 16 2006 - 01:02 Name: simwin Where are you from?: why do you need to know? Comments: whay are the mark and lard clips on realplayer? its the worst media format ever RW replies: Including the Mark and Lard clips, there are currently nearly 500 audio and video clips on this site, so for reasons of web space and bandwidth, RealPlayer is the only format that makes the file sizes small enough

And thank you thank you thank you for being the only place on the whole interweb with info about "Gideon". I was beginning to think I was making it all up...
Sunday December 10 2006 - 16:55 Name: Bruce Danton Where are you from?: Dartford, Kent Comments: Many thanks for an excellent website-well researched, and reading the schedules from the past certainly brings back some memories! Also, the Radio Times covers from the past, such as the 1980s. The list of series shown in the past is also very extensive. Well done to all concerned!

Monday December 4 2006 - 16:49 Name: Ben Ripley Where are you from?: Melbourne, Australia Comments: I'm in nostalgic heaven! I moved out to Australia in 1999 and one of the things I miss most about the UK is the fantastic TV. I grew up loving the BBC and the Radio Times was my 'comic/magazine' as a child/teenager. (yes, I am that much of a nerd!) This site is marvellous!
Tuesday November 28 2006 - 20:05 Name: Paul Fitzpatrick Where are you from?: Ireland Comments: As a child growing up in the countryside in Ireland I would take the Radio up stairs to get the best recption,so that i could listen to the Top 5 countdown on Tuesdays between 12:45 & 13:00pm then Sundays for the full Top 40,the old Jingles were Fab, love this Site as it brings back many wonderful memory's,Many thanks.
Sunday November 26 2006 - 12:05 Name: Sam Where are you from?: England Comments: I am not impressed with the new bbc1 idents, I tried my very best by writing letters to the bbc to try and get the old globe back into its old position, and now you bring completely different idents with nothing to do with bbc1, I mean what has hippos got to do with bbc1, lets hope you do something good with bbc2 and do not get rid of the 2 shape that will just be stupid.
Monday October 24 2006 - 19:08 Name: Tom James Where are you from?: Avening,Glos Comments: Hello again,I watched one of the new regional idents for BBC1 in the West, the 'kites' one and it's really good appearing before Inside Out and Points West. One programme I enjoyed on ITV was 'Count Duckula' which ran for five years from 1988-1993 and there were 65 episodes over four series and my favriote episode was'In Arctic Circles'where Duckula visited a stately igloo and Nanny brought back a Polar Bear when chased Jvyes the Penguin and his eight cousins out of the igloo which was funny after they all got chased by Von Goosewing around the room.If you know any other funny moments from other episodes of 'Count Duckula',please let me know at the above address, thank you.

Thursday October 12 2006 - 17:26 Name: Kento Ito Where are you from?: London Comments: love the new BBC One Idents... They are so much better than the dancer idents that caused so much conterversy... Plus, the also brought back the clock on some areas..... RW replies: Regarding the clock, don't be fooled, this is in fact a home-made mock-up currently doing the rounds on YouTube
Wednesday October 11 2006 - 14:33 Name: steven Where are you from?: london Comments: I think the new idents are fresh, urban and natural at the same time. Its about time the bbc cought up to date with the real world!by the way im the violinist who played on kites and moon it was a joy to work on and would love to continue working with the bbc... hint hint! steven.
Tuesday October 10 2006 - 20:59 Name: Andy Where are you from?: Warwick Comments: The New BBC1 Indents are great apart from the hippos... i think they need a few more tho. The kites is my favourite. the soundtracks should be simular too on each one
Monday October 09 2006 - 12:09 Name: Tom James Where are you from?: Avening,Glos Comments: Great new idents on BBC1,well done BBC.I watched four of the first eight and they are brilliant. The dancers were not very good really and I'm not surprised the BBC didn't give them a second term in office. My favroite new ident is the Motorbike one,it's really good and the Subtitles idicator shows up well too with the new idents.I also like the new trailers and red circle that goes with them,it is better than the old one with the red box at the bottom.I will definately be watching BBC1 more now we have some better idents on the channel.Well done,BBC and keep up the good work.
Sunday October 08 2006 - 22:10 Name: rob Comments: Did anyone by any chance record the montage of the dancers idents shown Saturday morning? RW replies: Yes - though due to technical problems I'm not able to encode it for the website at the moment. Instead, perhaps try Youtube or TV Ark
Sunday October 08 2006 - 17:52 Name: Matthew Firth From: Portsmouth, UK Comments: I Would Like You To Pay Tribute To Anna Ford. She is jsut a wonderful newsreader but you only have one clip of her. Please get some Anna clips together and make a video of them please. RW replies: Sorry, that's not really what we're about round here!
Wednesday October 04 2006 - 22:36 Name: kingdomcome Where are you from?: N. East Comments: I think the BBC2 idents from the early to late 90s the best ever designed. Pity we cannot have them back as they were very special. It would take some imagination to try to 'beat' the surreally brilliant new Channel Four logos.
Sunday October 01 2006 - 16:46 Name: Jonathan Where are you from?: Portsmouth Comments: Brillent site! I love to look back on those days. Liked the photos. If there was a voting thing for the best site, it would have to be this one. Got to go, Still having a look at your website!!!
Sunday October 01 2006 - 09:39 Name: Ronnie Comments: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ofTBnuXpa-8 A montage of all the new idents
Sunday October 01 2006 - 01:01 Name: Tom James Where are you from?: Avening,Glos Comments: Well, the new look for BBC1 I think is very good.I just couldn't understand the dancer idents or the music that accompanies them.I'm pleased the globe is returning to the channel and the moon ident I think is the main one with a white globe near the top of the screen.Still,it's better than nothing. The globe has not been seen on screen now for nearly five years and it has been missed by a lot of viewers. Also the new logo for the channel is better,I couldn't see the BBC logo in the red box so the new one will also show up better on screen. Now I look forward to watching BBC1 when the new idents, both the network and regional ones, came on air next Weekend, starting on Saturday.(7th October)Enjoy!
Thursday September 28 2006 - 15:30 Name: brian smith Where are you from?: cardiff wales Comments: Still no comments on the new idents? Wednesday September 27 2006 - 20:50 Name: Phil Petts Where are you from?: England!!! Comments: The rhythm & movement idents are cool, but I'm sure there used to be more, but can't find a trace. I'm sure there was an ident similar to the current "festival" but it was a film of the crowd from behind in a cavernous club/venue with guitar music accompanying. Can anyine remember this, I've been trying to find the music from that ident for years!!! Please help. Phil RW replies: All of the 'rhythm and movement' idents ever made are on this page - maybe this was some kind of other promotional trail?
Wednesday September 27 2006 - 11:56 Name: rob Where are you from?: sheffield Comments: Am I the only person in the world who actually likes the current idents? Yes I miss the balloon but I do quite like the dancing ones- particularly the range of cultures. tempo and movement. Any chance of the hip hop and bollywood ones being uploaded on video before they become extinct? RW replies: Yes, you are indeed the world's only fan of the BBC1 dancer idents!
Saturday September 23 2006 - 15:55 Name: Rick Comments: I have quite a few of the TV shows mentioned on this site in my private collection of recordings. If anyone wishes to trade anything with me...get in touch!
Friday August 28 2006 - 18:45 Name: Paulie G Where are you from?: Leicester Comments: Great website! Does anyone else agree with me - the lead dancer in the "Music Video" ident is hot! Anyone got any idea of who she is, or the production company involved in that ident?
Thursday August 27 2006 - 11:56 Name: Ernest Eastman Where are you from?: Iceland Comments: nice site . . .
Wednesday August 23 2006 - 14:31 Name: maxine Where are you from?: guildford Comments: Can you please let me know what the name of the movements are in the indent where they are jumping off the bench and so forth ? thanks

Tuesday August 22 2006 - 08:31 Name: Rob Where are you from?: Lancaster Comments: What a great website! I came across it totally by accident and it has brought back so many memories of my childhood in the mid to late eighties, programs such as 'Look and read' (who can forget the brickie song?' and 'The box of delights' (especially after hearing the theme tune again) brought a nostalgic smile to my face! I also really liked the Christmas listings in the 'Radio Times', I remember watching the 'Network Televisin Premiere!' of 'Back to the future' on Chistmas day 1988, in fact I still have the copy I taped that very night! On a final note, can someone please bring back Trev and Simon on BBC Saturday morning programming? I so want to 'Swing my pants' again...
Thursday August 17 2006 - 18:06 Name: Bruce Danton Where are you from?: Dartford, Kent Comments: Many thanks for an excellent website-seeing the covers of the Radio Times from the past, such as the 1980s, certainly brings back some memories that I have. Having been interested in the Radio Times (and the TV Times!) for a long time (and still am), it feels like being in heaven! Well done to all concerned!
Thursday August 17 2006 - 15:19 Name: Hamza Khan Where are you from?: London, UK Comments: This is a gr8 website and I especially like the BBC idents you have on here but can we have idents here of like ITV and Channel 4 please? RW replies: No plans to, though there are many other websites which do have these - see the Links page
Thursday August 17 2006 - 14:35 Name: Chris Miller Where are you from?: Deptford, London Comments: A marvellous site which has brought back memories. No doubt you are aware of the Birthday Times birthday cards (and the Dvd and CD equivalants)which details news items of a given year. Has the BBC thought about producing a Radio Times equivalent? I don't know if the idea is feasible or practical, but maybe some people might like them. I would appreciate your thoughts! Kindest regards!
Thursday August 17 2006 - 14:22 Name: Chris Miller Where are you from?: Deptford, London Comments: I recall the television viewing of the late 1950s and early 1960s with fondness as there were some great programming. Some of my particular favourites are listed below:- - Six-Five Special; - Juke Box Jury; - Wells Fargo; - Bronco; - Sugarfoot. There was a programme included a pretty young actress with long blonde hair on whom, as an impressionable teenager, I had a crush. I forget her name and that of the programme, but the plot was centred around the events of a family. Since then there has been even better programmes with improved resolution and graphics, but from a selfish point of view and a slight need to reminisce it would be lovely to see again the above programmes. Keep up the good work!
Saturday August 5 2006 - 22:59 Name: Tom James Where are you from?: Avening,Gloucestershire Comments: Hello again,I signed the Guestbook on the 3rd August(Thursday). Out of all the television idents I've seen past & present, the worst ones of all time are none other than the BBC1 dancers which first came on our screens in 2002.They just don't work properly anymore and they also don't function properly as well on the channel. The 2's on BBC2 at the moment are better and I love them, they are great. All I'll say now is when the dancers perform their last acts on BBC1 this autumn and they say goodbye for good,I won't be sorry to see them go. RW replies: You're not alone...
Thursday August 3 2006 - 22:34 Name: Tom James Where are you from?: Avening,Gloucestershire Comments: Very good website on old television material, idents on BBC1 and BBC2,video clips of old BBC News bulletins and the music that goes with them is very good.It has some of my favorite places with the BBC1 balloon as well featured.I have enjoyed viewing the website and I've also got some desktop wallpaper too from this website and the idents featured are really good,a few good pictures is what I needed.Brilliant!
Wednesday July 26 2006 - 15:39 Name: sezer the geezer Where are you from?: LONDON//VIA TURKEY Comments: THIS IS A GREAT WEBSITE, BUT RW CAN U DO A LITTLE SECTION ON BIG BROTHER? THAT WUD BE GREAT, BETTER THAN 60 MINS! RW replies: No
Tuesday July 25 2006 - 14:11 Name: Adrian M Where are you from?: Brighton Comments: What a strangely disparaging entry for 'Sixty Minutes'! Desmond Wilcox, Nick Ross and Sarah Kennedy appalling? 'Brash' theme 'foisted' on the headlines and regional optouts? Who are you? The theme started out as a rousing Jeff Wayne invasion anthem, only to be massacred by committee six months later using some drunken synthetic steel drum ensemble, probably trying to please idiots like you. More authoritative? Get a grip, and some decent sound files. RW replies: Blimey...
